A weekly reminder that time is finite

See your life in weeks, not abstractions.

Life.Cal sends a weekly email every Monday with a personalized life calendar built around your birth date.

Instead of time feeling infinite, you get a visual grid of the weeks you have already lived and the weeks still ahead. The goal is simple: make your time feel tangible enough to value it more.

About the project

The mission is to bring back the value of a single day.

What we believe

In the digital age, everyone is competing for your attention and your time. Dopamine drives our subconscious mind to follow what feels good, which is exactly what companies rely on for profit.

We wanted to create a newsletter that not only inspires, but also grounds our individual readers.

To create a subtle pause with the least amount of friction.

Being reminded of death is morbid, but it is our reality. We can either choose to be afraid of it, or embrace it to work in our benefit.

The choice is yours.

A poem to ponder

“For that dash represents all the time that they spent alive on earth. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.”
From “The Dash” by Linda Ellis. Read the full poem.

Quick answers

What people usually want to know before signing up.

What will I receive?

A weekly email with a personalized life calendar that shows the weeks you have already lived and the weeks still ahead.

How often will you email me?

Once a week, every Monday. This is meant to be a simple recurring reminder, not a high-volume newsletter.

Can I unsubscribe anytime?

Yes. Every email will include an unsubscribe link so you can remove yourself from the list at any time.

Will this stay free?

Yes. I want this newsletter to stay free. I’m open to sponsors that do not take away from the idea behind it, because I can’t fund everything myself, but the project should stay true to its purpose.
